MEET LEE VOGLER
Lee Vogler’s roots in Southside Virginia run deep. Raised in the house his great grandfather built in Pittsylvania County, Lee has been a dedicated public servant and job creator leading the way to revitalize Danville and Southside Virginia.
A graduate of Westover Christian Academy, Lee attended Danville Community College, where he earned an associate's degree before attending Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, where he graduated with a degree in Political Science. While at VCU, Lee interned for Virginia Senator Robert Hurt and Governor Bob McDonnell.
After college, Lee returned home to Danville, where he planted his roots and started his family. In 2012 Lee was elected to serve on the Danville City Council, becoming the youngest member ever elected.
Currently serving in his third term, Lee has been a leader in creating jobs, cutting wasteful government spending, and improving the way of life for hardworking Danville residents. Lee played an instrumental role in fighting for, and passing, multiple tax relief efforts, including the largest tax cut in Danville history. As State Senator, Lee will bring that same results-driven perspective to Richmond.
Lee is active in his community and across the Commonwealth, serving as Chairman of the Danville-Pittsylvania County Regional Industrial Facilities Authority (RIFA), which has brought thousands of jobs to our region. He was appointed by Governor Glenn Youngkin to serve on the Virginia Small Business Commission and also serves on multiple Virginia Housing Commission workgroups. In 2017, he was named Virginia Local Legislator of the Year. He is also a current member and Past President of the Danville Kiwanis Club.
Lee is a proven conservative fighter who has brought economic revival to Danville, and he will be the conservative champion who will bring the same opportunities to the entire 9th Senate District.
Lee currently serves as the Marketing Director and Managing Partner for Andrew Brooks Media Group, a comprehensive media company that specializes in print publications, online, and social media channels.
Lee and his wife, Blair, live in Danville with their two children, Kingston and Ava, where they are members of Compassion Christian Church.

A PROVEN JOB CREATOR
In his capacity as a Danville City Councilman and as a small businessman, Lee has delivered thousands of good-paying jobs to Danville and Southside Virginia. Chairman of RIFA, Lee was appointed by Governor Youngkin to serve on the Virginia Small Business Commission where he has played an instrumental role in Danville’s historic comeback. By cutting taxes and burdensome government red tape, Lee will bring opportunity and prosperity to the 9th Senate District just as he did in Danville.
A FIGHTER FOR OPPORTUNITY
The father of two children, Lee understands the importance of quality education. To address the opportunity gap facing so many Southside students, Lee will fight for additional funding and resources for vocational education so our students have the skills and opportunities to join the workforce after high school. This move will encourage industry to move into Southside and bring good-paying jobs to our communities as there will be a young and highly skilled workforce. In Richmond, Lee will make sure that our children are taught how to think, not what to think.
A VOICE FOR THE FORGOTTEN COMMUNITY
For many years, Southside Virginia has been forgotten by leaders in Richmond. Lee is a product of Southside Virginia and has been a fighter for our community for more than a decade. In Richmond, Lee will not just be an advocate for Southside values, he will be an advocate for more funding, investment, and opportunities for our communities. Lee is a results-driven business and community leader who has the experience necessary to bring good-paying jobs, better opportunities, and more resources to Southside.

A Christian and father to two beautiful children, Lee is 100% pro-life. In Richmond, Lee will make sure that our traditional Southside values are protected from radical lawmakers who want to change our way of life.
A STEWARD OF THE SECOND AMENDMENT
Lee is a staunch supporter of our Second Amendment and will stand up to any attempts to infringe upon the right to self-defense. In Richmond, Lee will support legislation that expands gun rights across the Commonwealth and defends the rights enshrined in our Constitution.
